Milestones

Congratulation, Bryn & Greg!

From the time a child is born we begin to look ahead.  The years before us appear as milestones in various stages of accomplishments.  First grade starts us on a path to our school years, while graduation marks the ending of that chapter and the beginning of another.  College or military assignments usually comes next while marriage follows thereafter, if not before.  Our thirties and forties are reserved for our careers and raising families, and senior years are spent with reflection and reminiscing.
Out of all these stages, marriage is one of the most important steps in this journey we call life, and the spouse we choose sets the stage for the years ahead, dictating the pattern we will follow.
Throughout the years, I’ve prayed that, when the time was right, God would bring Christian spouses to my grandchildren; spouses to love them unconditionally with their marriage honoring Christ.
Bryn, one of my beautiful granddaughters, recently reached one of these milestones when she announced her engagement to Greg.  Greg is an awesome young man with a teachable spirit, and together, they have sought out a church that they can call home.  Greg loves and honors my granddaughter and has the qualifications that I consider worthy of being my new grandson.  He is applying himself to learn how to have a good relationship with his future bride and how to be the spiritual head of his family.
Congratulations, Bryn and Greg!  As you step into this new phase of your life, may Jesus be Lord of your marriage as you faithfully serve him.  I love you both!
