Yesterday after church, Bruce and I had lunch with his mom, his brother and sister-in-law. Good food at the dining room where Mom E. lives, and wonderful company. Catching up on family lives was fun!
Ellis asked me about my blog, saying he had not seen any updates for a long time.
"A lack of time and energy," I explained, "is the culprit. In fact," I added, "I am thinking about deleting my blog since I little have time and energy for creative things (being my mom's caregiver is a 24/7 job.)"
"Oh, don't delete it;" he says, "just put a pause in there until you have time to write again." Hence, the pause.
But he, along with my husband, are two of my best supporters and encourage-rs...thanks to both of them! Who knows, maybe, the pause will not last long, but then again, it might last a long time. But, one thing I know, God has brought me to this special season in my mom's life, so I am okay with the pause...for now. I know he'll show me when it's time to start again.
On the other hand, I recently started a novel. I've had this in my heart to do for a long time, and it seems to be easier for me. I can just keep adding to the story line instead of trying to create new short stories.
So, who knows where this is going? Only God. But I know he has a plan for me during this phase of my life. Thank you, dear Lord! You do all things well, and I know I can trust you.
